New Xiaomi Mi Band 2 available on June 7th
Even though chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is best known for its cheap (but powerful) smartphone series, the company is also playing a huge role in the wearable market, thanks to a collection of trackers including the very cheap ($13) Mi Band 1 and Mi Band Pulse. Mi Band is now the second largest fitness tracket in world and sold over 20 million trackers till now. Today, Xiaomi unveiled the latest one, called Mi Band 2, which will be available on june 7th, at $23.
This new 24/7 activity tracker will come with a 0.42-inch OLED screen that’s covered by scratch resistant glass and an anti-fingerprint coating for that extra layer of protection. An OLED screen which displays time, number of steps, heart rate, distance walked, calories burned, battery info and other data. You can see all these datas by lifting your left wrist or by using the capacitive button on the Mi Band 2 capsule.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 comes with a 2nd gen Bluetooth 4.0 for faster and stable connection with your phone, and a larger 70 mAh battery, for 20 days of battery life. Thanks to Mi Band 2, users will be able to check their heart rate on real time with out opening the Mi Fit App. Just lift your wrist or touch on the capacitive button on the Mi Band 2 display and your heart rate displays instantly on the the screen. Mi Band 2 can accurately read heart beat on real time basis.
