Sony unveils new “budget friendly” Xperia E5
Sony unveils a brand new Xperia device, the “budget friendly” Xperia E5.
A new market for this Xperia E5
The brand new Sony Xperia X series will be available on the US market in a few weeks, but the japanese manufacturer already unveiled a new device in its Xperia series. A new “budget friendly” smartphone, the Xperia E5, which has been freshly officialised by Sony today. A new device that is destined to those who look for an affordable smartphone, smooth performance, good photos, and the “it just works” experience.
A new Xperia device, not as exciting in terms of design as the new high-class Xperia X series, but a smartphone that seems to keep the elegant Sony Xperia style, with a matte texture and both charcoal and pearl white colors available. The new Sony Xperia E5 sports a large 5″ 720p screen, and the device will be powered by a MediaTek MT6735 chip, locked at 1.3 Ghz and coupled with 1.5 GB RAM. The 16 GB of internal storage may be limited, but it can of course be extended via microSD, up to 200 GB.
Sony promises a “simple to use” and smart 13-megapixel camera, with Auto Scene Recognition that automatically adjusts camera settings to suit your shot. On the front, we’ll find a 5 megapixel camera. The Xperia E5 will come with the latest version of Google Android OS, Marshamallow, with Sony’s lightweight.
Price and availability
This new Sony Xperia E5 will be available in selected countries (Europe, Africa, Latin America…) in July, and will be priced at €199/$219.
