Snapchat introduces new Memories feature
Snapchat introduces a brand new feature, Memories, to easily save Snaps and Stories.
New Memories for Snapchat
The ultra popular Snapchat (which is now in front of Twitter) just introduces a brand new feature : Memories. According to Snapchat, Memories is a new and easy way to save Snaps and Stories on Snapchat. It’s described as a personal collection of your favorite moments that lives below the Camera screen. Just swipe up from the Camera to open Memories!
Memories can also be used to create new Stories from Snaps that have been taken, or even combine different Stories into a longer narrative. Snapchat now offers a brand new way to send Snaps from Memories to our friends, or even post them to our Story. A Snap that was taken more than a day ago will appear with a frame around it so that everyone knows it’s from the past. Note that Memories is backed up by Snapchat, and the app won’t backup any photos or videos from the user’s Camera Roll, unless he uses one to make a new Story or add it to My Eyes Only.
Snapchat also made it easier to move Snaps and Stories to My Eyes Only, in order to avoid awkward moments when a friend stumbles upon a very private Snap. Memories will be rolling out selectively over the next month. According to Snapchat : “it’s a big change for our service so we want to make sure everything is running smoothly ! You’ll receive a Chat from Team Snapchat when Memories is ready for you to use.” Just get ready then !
