Samsung Gear IconX : wireless audio experience and fitness tracking
Samsung just unveiled its news Gear IconX, the first truly wireless earbuds, that also enables tracking of fitness data.

Samsung just unveiled its brand new Gear Fit 2, but the korean manufacturer also presented those new Gear IconX, a pair of wireless earbuds with some health tracking functions. Those Gear IconX are described as the first truly wireless headphone, as no cable is connecting left and right units. This new Samsung Gear IconX is totally “cordfree“.
Just like the Samsung Gear Fit 2, these Gear IconX also get a built-in 4 GB memory, so the user can store local music. But the user may also use the Bluetooth capability to stream music directly from a compatible smartphone. Users can simply tap or swipe the earbuds to easily control the music.
But Samsung Gear IconX is not limited to music, and Samsung’s earbuds offer a service of health monitoring to keep track of user heart rate, steps taken, distance traveled, speed and calories burned. All the datas are stored internally, and can be transfered to Samsung’s S-Health application. The system includes a Voice Guide feature that provides instant voice feedback on the user’s workout progress and provides a standalone music listening experience.
The new Samsung Gear IconX will be available in Q3 2016, and will be price at $199. The device will comme with three different sizes of eartips and wingtips.
