Samsung Gear Fit 2 : with Super AMOLED, GPS sensor and Heart Rate Monitor
Samsung just unveiled its brand new Gear Fit 2, which offers Super AMOLED display, GPS and HRM.
New Samsung’s Gear Fit 2 is official
Samsung just officially revealed its brand new Gear Fit 2, an activity tracker that follows up the first Gear Fit, released in 2014. A new wristband that offers a new design, with better visibility, but this Gear Fit 2 also gets built-in GPS, the ability to recognize certain activities, and a very useful Heart Rate Monitor. The Gear Fit 2 features an embedded GPS and a heart rate monitor (HRM) that offer accurate and robust fitness tracking and measurement, while providing instant feedback on the user’s workout.
Samsung’s new Gear Fit 2 also gets a 4 GB memory, to store music directly on the device. Samsung has partnered with Spotify to create a dedicated app directly on its wearable wristband. Note that Samsung Gear Fit 2 only works with Android smartphones (4.4 or higher), and won’t be compatible with iOS or Windows Mobile. Samsung confirms that the Gear Fit 2 can be used independently, thanks to its touchscreen and built-in GPS, but with limited functionnalities of course.

This new Samsung’s Gear Fit 2 will be available on June 10th, and will be priced at $179.
