LG G7 ThinQ unveils more
It’s been a few weeks now that the LG G7 ThinQ is at the heart of many rumors. The next flagship Korean brand is indeed closely followed by many high-tech enthusiasts, and it is May 2 that the smartphone will be officially presented by LG. Meanwhile, the Korean group has unveiled some additional information, while the incorrigible Evan Blass has been responsible for posting a photo on Twitter presenting the smartphone from all angles.
Thus, the next smartphone signed LG will indeed have a notch, like an iPhone X or some recent Android smartphones. A smartphone with a very large display area, without a button on the front. At the rear, there is a double photo sensor positioned vertically in the center of the hull, under which we will take advantage of a fingerprint sensor. At the bottom of the terminal, the speaker, the Type-C USB port and the 3.5mm jack.
On the configuration side, this new LG G7 ThinQ will obviously be doped with the AI (like the recent Huawei smartphones to name a few) and will have a 6.1 “LCD panel in QHD + quality offering a SuperBright display. LG confirms that the slab of its smartphone can go up to 1000 nits, while consuming up to 30% less energy than the LG G6, despite a FullVision screen with a lower border 50% thinner than that of his predecessor. Under the hood, there will be a new generation SnapDragon 845 processor.
G7 Notch
In addition, regarding the famous “notch” at the top of the screen, we learn that LG has put at the heart of his G7 ThinQ an option to hide it. Indeed, like the recent Huawei P20, the user can decide to hide the notch via a small software trick that will come affix a thin black border on the entire top of the screen. In this way, the LG G7 ThinQ will have a thin “real” border at the bottom of the screen, and a simulated border at the top of the screen. Convenient for all refractories to this new notch design.
