Nikon goes diving

Once again, Nikon works with the International Swimming Federation to cover the 13th World championship of swimming which will be held in Rome until August 2. Nikon now creates a revolution in submarine photography by developing a set of tailor-made waterproof shots for the French main press agency, the AFP.

Nikon: a waterproof case for its SLR D3

To cover the swimming championship, the AFP photo department asked Nikon to develop a revolutionary waterproof case for the Nikon D3. They will be able to shoot pool-floor pics from a distance thanks to a wireless remote control then transfer these pics all over the world in only a few seconds.

Nikon event

During the whole event, Nikon will hold a workshop to let visitors discover and test a large array of Nikon cameras, especially the Nikon D3. So further to tackling press photographers, Nikon also targets independent and amateur photographers. Of note, Nikon will provide support and repair services to all the official photographers there. You can find the complete description of the Nikon D3 here.
