MobileMe: the design evolves smoothly

With the new features brought to the pack of services MobileMe (details below), Apple also slightly modified the aspect of the navigation buttons.

MobileMe / iPhone OS 3.0: "Find my iPhone" and erasing data

The pack of MobileMe now includes a "Find My iPhone" function. If your iPhone happens to be lost or stolen, you simply have to go to the website Me.com which lets you locate the place where your mobile is and ask for all the date to be erased remotely.

Uploading videos and sharing calendars with MobileMe

Now that the iPhone 3G S can record and edit video sequences, the pack MobileMe includes a new function which lets you upload the videos taken to your MobileMe gallery.

A new function to share calendars is also available, so MobileMe users can now share their calendars with their close ones. Included in iCal, this function is very easy to use: you just have to publish a calendar on MobileMe then invite by e-mail the contacts who will be able to access it.

Misc.: Back to my Mac, help icon and HTML e-mail redirection

Several little functions have also been added. Thus, it is now possible from Mac OS X 10.5.7 to access a computer listed by Back to My Mac without having to keying in your user name and password and to redirect an e-Mail in HTML format (previously, it was turned into text format). The interface now includes a help icon which can be accessed anytime in the toolbar.

iDisk access and file sharing for a perfect world?

Though the offer of MobileMe services is enlarging as time goes by, 2 functions remain strongly expected: the possibility to access one’s iDisk and to share files accordingly. Come on, Cupertino guys, a little effort please!
