The World Digital Library inaugurated by the UNESCO
|
|
The World Digital Library was officially unveiled yesterday in the presence of James H. Billighton, director of the Congress Library in the US. Initiated by the UNESCO and funded by public and private organisms (Google and Microsoft participated), the digital library is hosted in the US by the Congress Library, and can be accessed world-wide via the Internet. Actually, it is originally a 100% American project which was happy to receive the UNESCO approval in order to show a more universal image.
