New professional smartphone: HTC Touch Pro 2

The HTC Touch Pro2, derived from the Touch Pro, is worth noticing thanks to its VGA screen (640 x 480 pixels) of 3.6 inches and a sliding QWERTY keyboard with large and comfortable keys. Besides, a new conference call mode was included in the Touch Pro via the Straight Talk technology of HTC. Straight Talk integrates innovative mechanical and acoustic design, which allows as sound quality that is similar to the conf call systems in any assembly hall. Straight Talk provides sound enhanced by asymmetrical loudspeakers, a noise reduction system and duplex acoustics. Funny detail, when you turn the HTC Touch Pro2 over, it automatically moves to the conf call mode thanks to the gravity and light sensors

Windows Mobile 6.1 with the Touch Pro 2 for now

Just as the HTC Touch Diamond 2, the Touch Pro 2 should soon benefit from an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 with My Phone and Windows Marketplace. Until then, it offers the famous tactile interface Touch Flo 3D.

Software improvements for the HTC Touch Pro2

To go on with the new stuff, HTC introduces a new approach of communication, person-centered, by providing in one single view the history of conversations, be it phone calls, texts or e-mails. This information can be read via the contact card or via the screen during a phone call. As regards browsing the Internet, Push Internet is a function which allows pre-loading your fave webpages then have them displayed more quickly on the mobile.

HTC has not announced any price yet for the Touch Diamond2, but we know it will be sold from summer 2009.
