Flashback on the Panasonic Lumix of the week

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 is an hybrid Lumix ZS1 (replacing the TZ5) which also offers HD (AVCHD) video recording with Dolby Digital stereo sound. Apart from that, the 2 upscale compact cameras share the same very wide angle 25mm zoom, with a 12x focal range to get to an amazing 25-300mm stabilized zoom, and the same intelligent functions. Their price is 429 euros VAT incl. and 329 euros VAT incl. respectively.

 

The Lumix DMC-FS4 is Panasonic’s new entry-level product. With its 4x stabilized zoom and its 8-megapixel sensor, it offers a battery life of more than 400 frames. It is sold 129 euros VAT incl. That’s an interesting entry-level camera.

 

When talking about "tough" compact SLRs, here is the Lumix DMC-TS1, a 12-megapixel camera that is water- and shockproof. Still, that’s 399 euros VAT incl. For this adventurer of the Tough range.

 

The Lumix DMC-FX580, a 12-megapixel compact camera with 5x zoom which offers a large 3-inch tactile screen and replaces the FX500. The price announced is 369 euros VAT incl.. It is followed by the Lumix DMC-FS25, another 12-megapixel camera with a large screen, but which offers narrower wide angle (29 Vs 25mm). Its price: 249 euros VAT incl.

 

The Panasonic DMC-FX48 is the ultra compact gem of Panasonic’s range with its very wide angle. It has12 megapixels and a 5x 25mm wide angle zoom (25-125mm), all this in 128 grams. Its retail price is 299 Euros VAT incl.
