Deep changes for the Mac mini at Macworld 2009 ?
Those of you who had already burried the Mac mini could soon be very disappointed. Indeed Macminicolo, a company based in Las Vegas in charge of providing services related to the Mac Mini, is said to have obtained precious information: several major improvements could be announced for the Mac mini.
First, the Mac mini should now be equipped with a mini video output, DisplayPort (just as the new MacBook and MacBook Pro) and could go up to 4 GB of Ram. Besides, the most mini of all Macs could be in aluminum, to be closer to the rest of Apple’s range, and make do without SuperDrive – which would come as an option, as for the MacBook Air.

Macworld 2009: not launching the iMac QuadCore ?
Initialy scheduled for november, Apple had finally given up updating its iMacs. The reason being – so we think – that the Cupertino company preferred to wait for Intel to launch the new QuadCore processors. Consequently, on the new iMacs 3 types of processors should be found: Core 2 Quad Q8200, Core 2 Quad Q9400 and Core 2 Quad Q9550, which should have 2.33 GHz (4 MB of level 2 data cache), 2.66 GHz (6 MB of level 2 data cache) and 2.83 GHz (12 MB of level 2 data cache) respectively. It should also be noted that their thermal envelope should go from 95 to 65 watts: a good thing for energy consumption!

And what about Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard ?
It is still uncertain whether the new version of Apple’s new operating system will be unveiled. If Snow Leopard is indeed in demo tomorrow night at Macworld Expo, there is every chance that the new Macs launched tomorrow (if any) will already contain this new version of the OS X.
