New all-in-one Asus Eee Top 15-inch nettop

Like a flat-screen TV that towers up on your desk, the new Eee Top computer announced by Asus integrates all the hardware behind its screen, to make a design and compact set. Hidden by its 16:9 15.6-inch touchscreen (1366 x 768 pixels), with a Home Windows XP improved for touch sensitivity, you will find an Intel Atom N270 CPU running at 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, and a 2.5-inch hard disk of 160GB (5400 rpm).

15-inch Eee Top and multimedia

The Eee Top is also equipped with an 5.1 HD audio card (to be used with specific loudspeakers) and 2 standard loudspeakers. It has a 1.3-megapixel webcam, as well as a memory card reader. When it comes to connecting it, a b/g/n Wi-Fi adaptor, an Ethernet port and 6 2.0 USB ports make it a complete machine – even though one might miss a Bluetooth connection.

Asus Eee Top 15-inch nettop: price and availability

Asus 15-inch Eee Top will be sold from January 21st next year, announced at the price of 549 Euros VAT incl. A 20-inch and a 22-inch versions will follow later in the year.
