Nokia announces its E63, an affordable Symbian smartphone

Nokia had launched last summer its E71, a new smartphone with a complete Azerty keyboard just like a BlackBerry. This week the Finnish company is presenting their Nokia E63, slightly lower in the range compared to the E71 but at a more affordable price, therefore targeted at a broader audience. Indeed the E63 has no A-GPS chip nor infrared module anymore, and shows a "basic" plastic body.

Main features of the Nokia E63

However, the new Nokia E63 makes the grade as it offers all the features required for any worthwile smartphone. On top of its complete Azerty keyboard, its QVGA screen (320 x 240), this mobile on Symbian S60 offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, a micro SD memory card port , and even an audio Jack connector of 3,5 mm and a 2-megapixel camera.

Price and availability

The Nokia E63 should be available in stores by the end of the year, in red or blue, for 238 Euros VAT incl. (without subscription).
