12-megapixel sensor in Sony Ericsson camera phones

After the 8-megapixel Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot, the camera phone expert is now putting about future mobiles with a 12-megapixel sensor. Sony indeed announced a new CMOS sensor, designed for mobile phones, with a total of 12.25 megapixels in 1/2,5" format. This new sensor, unparalleled in its category, should be on sale in March 2009 - followed in September by another 12-megapixel sensor which will offer a 28mm-lens. Well, the pixel war goes on: will Samsung (pioneer in camera phones), LG or Nokia reply soon?
