OLYMPUS  E-30  | Theme : Digital Photography  | Lenses

Olympus has updated the 14-54mm F2,8-3,5 Zuiko Digital lens in order to have it supporting the latest "High Speed Image AF" system embedded on the newest Olympus 4:3 mount SLRs. No need o say that this lens actually is a 4:3 mount lens with a 2x ratio : the lens becomes a 28-108mm once on a 4:3 DSLR.

The optical formula of this new lens embeds no less than 3 aspherical elements. It offers a circular diaphragm for nice bokeh and its built quality bares durst and splashes. This will be perfect on a E-3 or on a E-30 which are also tough guys. The minimal focusing distance is 22 cm at all focal length.

We'll have to wait until January to see the Zuiko Digital 14-54mm II hitting the shelves along with the new E-30. Both will be sold together in a kit at the European price of 1700 Euros including VAT.
