Stunning 24 megapixels images
A very high resolution which you will benefit from only if you use high quality lenses, a very serious built quality, maybe the best, widest and most luminous viewfinder on the market, a unique full frame stabilization system integrated on the body, high dynamic range… here are the main positive points the review has revealed for the Sony A900 full frame SLR. Yes, but….

The price of resolution
Yes but, everything has a price. And the price you will have to pay for this huge 24 megapixels resolution is higher noise than competition and a noise reduction software which tends to wash some details away. Too bad. We still have to choose between resolution and clean images ! Dpreview is also pointing out the fact that the noise reduction also applies to RAW files which is a feature you can not turn off. Weird. Finally, among criticisms, the review has found that Sony Alpha 900 JPEG files are somehow too soft. This really make shooting RAW paramount when using the A900.
