The Samsung HZ1, just like the successful Panasonic Lumix TZ5, offers an ambitious optically stabilized 10x zoom with a very wide angle position at 24mm. Therefore, the HZ1 corresponds to a very versatile 24-240mm.

The Samsung HD1 also offers many greats intelligent automatisms like the portrait mode which ensure you get the picture right thanks to a technology trio : face detection, smile detection and look detection. The HZ1 also allow the user to interfere on many various parameters like color saturation for instance. Finally, the HZ1 has a DCM (Digital Content Management) system which allows to sort images upon various parameters. Everything here is made on the 2,7" LCD screen with 230 000 dots.

The video function of the HZ1 is quite powerfull thanks to High definitin in 720p but does not offer the real full HD as we do like it ! Let's note that the 10x is still able to operate while recording movies and that it does not cut the sound recording. The image rate is 20 i/s.
