Equipped with a fairly large sensor, the H3DII-50 will embedd the latest medium format Kodak 50 megapixel sensor. It measures 36x48mm and its area is twice the area of a full frame DSLR like the Nikon D700 mately announced. This huge resolution will allow even more creativity than before with more cropping freedom. It will also less ask the camera to calculate missing pixels in some cases resulting in less moiré although Phocus, the latest Hasselblad software is pretty good at healing moiré.

Each file produced by the 50 megapixels sensor will weight no less than 300 MB ! Huge.... The H3DII-50 allows ISO settings from 50 to 400 ISO and up to 800 ISO with Hasselblad's software called Phocus. The camera is compatible with all H lenses from the H system. H lenses send datas to the camera to help the software correcting optical defaults.

We don't know the price of the H3DII in 50 megapixels but we can guess without risk that it is going to be high priced : it is a professionnal camera with no equivalent on Earth....
