2008 is not a good year for Canon and among the 4 categories in the digital SLR segment, Canon is "only" wining one price. But this price is more than well deserved by the Digital Rebel XSi or EOS 450D in Europe. Tipa has praised its image quality level with 14 bits encoding, its large 3" screen with Live View and its compact size.

Tipa also explained they gave the XSi the first price because of its compact size and its autofocus velocity. 2008 Canon's range is not that exciting with now totally obsolete EOS 40D and 5D but we have to say that the 450D (Digital Rebel XSi) really is a joy to use and give very nice shots. It should even gain some market share against its elder brother the EOS 40D. This is a very well deserved TIPA Award.
