Canon's Pro DSLR EOS 1D and 1Ds mkIII have now new firmware installing new functionalities.

The main improvement brought by these two new firmware updates is the fact that you may now select the right autofocus point with the rear joystick. This joystick was so logically designed to make that selection that it was hardly understandable Canon did not plan to assign that AF selection function to it ! You will also be able to reverse exposure compensation and AF point buttons. Canon says this firmware will also improve autofocus accuracy and stability when used in AI servo mode on low contrast subjects.
