The beta version of Dxo v5 will be most useful to improve the software before they launch the final Mac version later on. Early adapters of the Windows version would have loved that hundreds of Beta testers had given their feedback to DxO programmer to correct all bugs which made this version barely operational. Mac users will be the lucky ones : beta testers will have helped improving the final version which, as DxO still hopes, should hit the stores this quarter before the summer.

DxO has adapted the V5 of their software to Apple's easy ergonomics. The RAW engine remain sthe same as the Windows version. It has been redesigned for the version 5. It is doing a first noise reduction directly in the RAW file before processing it in order to avoid noise to become artifacts. The V5 for Macintosh will also support the RAW files of the latest DSLR like the Canon EOS 40D, the 1Ds MKIII or the Nikon D300 and D3.
