Nikon D3 firmware update : nice bonus

Nikon just released a new firmware for its professional DSLR Nikon D3, its first full frame in Nikon's history. The V1.1 of the D3 new firmware fixes bugs but also brings a nice additionnal function to the camera.

Nowadays, firmware updates not only fix bugs, they also often bring new things to the camera so that it improves with time. This is the case with the V1.1 of D3's frmware which will allow in-camera vignetting correction ! Either you shoot JPG and the correction is processed directly in the camera or you shoot RAW and then you have to use Nikon Capture NX to benefit of this very kind function. It works with G and D Nikkor lenses.
