NIKON Coolpix P80 Nikon Coolpix P80

published : Thursday, April 10, 2008 | model : NIKON  Coolpix P80
Theme : Digital Photography  | Bridge cameras

With the Coolpix P80, Nikon is back on the bridge camera market with an ambitious 18x Nikkor zoom and CCD-shift mechanical image stabilization..

The P80 is a 10 mégapixels which embeds a small sensor of 1/2,33 ". This sensor, often not sensitive enough because of its small size, is boosted up to ISO 6400 in manual mode thanks to the EXPEED processor which also ensures a burst mode up to 13 fps in low resolution. The Coolpix P80 also offers the Nikon technology called “3-InCamera” which gathers D-Lighting (lighting up dark areas), the face detection with face priority autofocus and the red eyes removal system. The Nikon Coolpix P80 displays the images on a 2,7" TFT screen of 230.000 pixels and has an electronic viewfinder of the same resolution. The P80 is fed by a Lithium battery which ensures an autonomy of 250 images according to CIPA standard with Nikon's EN-EL5battery. The camera offers both scene modes and priority modes.
