Leopard, the latest operating system launched by Apple a few month ago is setting new sales record in Apple's OS history.

Leopard even better than Tiger

Leopard is doing better than Tiger which was a tough task. Actually Apple's really good health and marketing is helping a lot Leopard taking off at the speed of light. Even the iPhone has some leopard inside, doesn't it ? Launched in October at the retail price of USD 129, Leopard sales are now 33% in terms of turnover more important than Tiger sales were after the same period.

Apple Leopard vs Microsoft Vista

The NPD group survey which analyses these figures shows how striking it is to see the difference between these two operating system success. On one side, we have the Mac OS 10.5 which has immediately taken over its previous version Tiger and on the other side, we have Vista which is struggling to take its place on the market as many potential users do really prefer to avoid compatibility troubles and are wiling to stay with XP, a reliable OS.
