iPhone firmware will now be updated in a version 1.1.4 which appear to improve many things.

With the release this month of the SDK (Software Development Kit) for iPhones, the new firmware should make the iPhone ready to run all new third party software. In the meantime, early users of the new firmware have noticed that the iPhone signal was of better quality and that its pictures taken with the embedded digital camera were somehow better. Safari will also now keep the content of the tabs when you quit the navigator which is really good news considering the slow transfer speed of iPhone EDGE's internet connection.

It also seems that Apple did not add any security layer to the V1.1.4 firmware of the iPhone which means that even if you have "jailbreaked" you unofficial iPhone, it will still work fine even though it has been updated to V1.1.4.
