Garmin just announced the new generation of mobile GPS, the Colorado 300. Equipped with a roller to make the use by only one hand easier it has been designed for outdoor use.

Five different navigation profiles for the Colorado 300

This GPS aimed at sportsmen and adventurers will be equipped with 5 different navigation profiles to be adapted to various activities: driving, sailing, outdoor leisure, sports and "geocaching". The Garmin Rock'n Roller will allow you to reach various functions with only one hand. Dan Bartel, Garmin global sales co-manager said: "Even if it has a huge number of new functions and options that can be customized, the Colorado is really easy to use thanks to its Rock'n Roller driven with only one thumb." The Colorado is equipped with a high sensitivity GPS receiver and with a 3" high resolution color screen on which we can display a world wide- map.

Garmin Colorado 300: An adventurer kit of only 200g.

The Colorado 300 weights only 200g and contains an electronic compass, a pressure altimeter and an image viewer. It also offers an SD card player that will allow the storage of complementary maps. Still for adventurers, it will indicate the temperature and it will be possible to pair it with a heart rate monitor belt or a speed/cadence sensor. It will be possible to record performance datas linked to your activity. This GPS can be synchronized with another one, to share plotting, waypoints, and geocoache coordinates. At the end of the day, you can put your run on the Internet and thus share it with other adventurers on Garmin Connect website.
