Light, HSDPA, A-GPS, 5 megapixels camera, Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash, the N82 seems to have (at least on paper, great chances of success. But will it be as huge as for the N95 ? The Mobinaute.com team is trying to answer that question reviewing the new Nokia N82.

Nokia N82 : top of the range Smartphone

Is Nokia making the same marketing as Apple ? Right after its presentation the N82 is imediatly available. Top of the range Smartphone by its price and its really complete fubctionalities, the N82 isn't a direct competitor of the N95. The styles are different, if the N95 was made with mat colors, with the N82 we can see a comeback of monovolume shape and of metal finish with the very fashionable mirror effect.

N82 technical specs

Regarding its technology, N82 is really competitive. We can find here a cellular under Symbian 3rd Edition FP1 which is an evolution of the one we can find in the N95, a 2.4" QVGA screen, the 3G+ (tribande GSM and EDGE), the A-GPS, a Micro USB Plug, Bluetooth 2.0 (compatible with stereo earphones), Wifi 802.11b/g and especially a 5 megapixels digital camera with optical Carl Zeiss zoom and Xenon flash. The Nokia N82 also offers a TV output, a FM receiver, a music player MP3/AAC/eAAC/eAAC+/WMA/M4A and a USB 2.0 connection. It offers an internal memory of 100 Mo but will be delivered with a 2 Gb memory card.

Mobinaute's N82 review

On the program of the test you will find : photos from each angle, a packaging review, a test of the general functions of the product (SMS, Bluetooth, Wifi and SIP?), its digital camera functions review (both photo and video), and a not particularly successful review of the navigation software : Smar2Go. The French site has also reviewed its video abilities with the N-Gage platform and its multimedia functions.
