DivX, the world famous video encoder solution, has announced an agreement with Sony in order to allow PS3 to read DivX videos.


Kevin Hell, president of DivX company, is quite satisfied with this agreement which will bring new possibilities to the Playstation 3 like reading new content and also allowing video games editors to include DivX sequences in their games. DivX is now preparing the certification of the PS3 and ones that will be done, an update of Playstation 3 firmware will be released.
