Intel's Moorstown platform aimed at UMPCs could be onboard of next iPhone.
According to Digitimes, thank to well informed industry actors, next generation of iPods could possibly use an Intel Moorestown heart. Moorestown UMPS platform should be launched in 2009 and would allow a better battery life thank to a lower consumption while ensuring the necessary performances for these kinds of multimedia products.
The Intel iPhone should therefore be launched in 2009 and not before. Let's remind everyone that Apple and Intel collaboration is nothing new now since all iMacs and Mac Pro, Mac Books and MacBook pro now use Intel processors an dit has been the case for 2 years already.
