Asus ZenBook 3, the world’s most prestigious laptop ?
During the recent Computex 2016, Asus unveiled this brand new ZenBook 3, which is among the world’s thinnest laptops, with only 11.9 mm thich, and only 910 g. That’s a bit thinner than the very popular Apple MacBook, but a bit bigger than the recent HP Spectre. According to Asus, this new ZenBook 3 is the ultimate laptop, thanks aerospace-grade aluminium alloyx, for perfect lightness. A different material which is also said to be 50% stronger than the standard alloy for laptops.
Once it is opened, the Asus ZenBook 3 offers a great 12.5 inch display, and a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). The screen is secured by a Gorilla Glass 4 protection, and the laptop offers an 82% screen to body ratio. Asus also claims a 178 degree viewing angle, and a Tru2Life video enhancement for a better contrast. ZenBook 3 features a full-size backlit keyboard with 19.8mm key pitch — the same as most desktop keyboards — and 0.8mm key travel to deliver comfortable typing experience.
Under the hood, this new Asus ZenBook 3 comes with the latest generation of Intel i7 processeor, and can climb up to 16 GB of RAM and a very large 1 TB SSD. Asus also claims a brand new cooling system, that uses a liquid crystal polymer fan, and a copper-alloy heat pipe. Concerning battery life, Asus claims this ZenBook 3 will last for approximatively 9 hours, with a regular use. Of course, this ZenBook 3 also gets an USB-C port, with a fast charge system, and a Harman Kardon quad speakers system.
Asus ZenBook 3 is available in three exclusive colors, Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Grey, with prices starting at $999 for the base model. The high-class model will cost $1.999
