USM : "Ultrasonic Silent Drive"
|
First Tamron lens to feature an ultrasonic AF motorisation (USD, "Ultrasonic Silent Drive"), this new 70-300mm lens suites both full frame SLR and APS-C sensor based SLR. The SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD, that's its name, is also optically stabilized and allows full-time manual focus override. Optically, it gets an XLD glass lens, a glass with near fluorite performances according to Tamron. This reminds us of the FLD announced by Sigma and used in 3 new lenses this year.
The new SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD wil be a Mile Marker in the Japanese optician history as it s the first lens to offer silent and fast ultrasonic engine motorisation.
