Noktor Hyperprime 50mm ultrafast ens
This new optics manufacturer is sepcialized in fast lens. When we say fast lenses, we mean FAST lenses : the first prime lens it is launching benefit from an aperture of F0.95 ! This first lens will be aimed at micro 4:3 cameras like the Panasonic GF1, GH1 or the Olympus Pen E-P1 and E-PL1. Actually, designing such a fast lens is easier for the rather small 4:3 sensor and on the micro 4:3 mount feature a very small distance between the rear end of the lens and the sensor. This makes also easier to design smaller lenses. Such a lens for a Full Frame SLR could be huge. Here, the Noktor is a 50mm and will become an equivalent to 100mm on a micro 4:3 camera.
Nice trendy typo, Wasabi colored circle... the new brand seem to care for fashion.

On Noktor's website, you can find out more on this nigh-owl lens whose uses are various and many : shooting inside without flash, outdoor at night, etc... We would love to see such a fast F0.95 lens on a Nikon D3s at ISO 102 400. You can also take the survey on their website to let them know which mount you wish they would come with new fast lenses like this one. Actually, among the 20 000+ persons to vote, 42% would like to get a Canon EF lens and 37% would like to see a Nikon F lens.
